A retrofit assessment involves an assessor performing an in-depth inspection of your property. We are trained to undertake a retrofit assessment for dwellings in accordance with PAS 2035.
Assess the options available to older and traditional buildings (built prior to 1919)when introducing new energy efficiency measures. Undertake a Significance Assessment in accordance with BS 7913
The activities completed within the retrofit assessment include the production of an RdSAP assessment, a detailed floor plan, a condition report and an occupancy assessment.
A home retrofit assessment takes about 2 to 3 hours. The length of the assessment may vary depending on the size and nature of the property.
Domestic Energy Assessments
A home energy assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of a home's energy use and efficiency. It involves inspecting the home's energy-using systems and appliances, evaluating the home's insulation and air sealing, and analysing energy bills and usage patterns.
The requirement for an EPC has been the law since 2008, meaning if your home has been sold or let since then, it should have one. It is the responsibility of the landlord or property owner to obtain an EPC before marketing a property and must have a copy of the certificate ready to show potential tenants or buyers.
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessment typically takes between 45-60 minutes for a domestic property. The length of the assessment may vary depending on the size and nature of the property.
Legionella Risk Assessments
Under UK Health and Safety law – landlords, business owners, employers and property managers are legally required to assess, mitigate and consider the risk of Legionella within their business or property.
An assessment is used to help identify potential risk factors within buildings, premises and facilities. The findings are then used to pinpoint what interventions are required and the protocols and systems that need putting in place in order to establish robust Legionella risk controls.
A Legionella risk assessment is the first step to help ensure a Legionella compliant property for its occupants and for those responsible to prove they have taken the necessary steps needed to keep people safe.
An assessment takes about 30-45 minutes. The length of the assessment may vary depending on the size and nature of the property.
